You know it was a good weekend when you show up Monday morning at work and have to look back to figure out what you did. Special long edition.

Thursday morning I rode into work for the last time. Not just because we are moving, but because our office is moving 3 miles further south from where we currently live. And it’s getting much colder. And the weather was freaking perfect. And it was the usual New Years Eve half day, so I got to ride home in the sun. So much win all around.

The roads were damp but not enough to keep me off them.

On the way home I went past the house I grew up in. It was nice to see most of the landscape still alive that my Dad spent so much time on, even though it was overgrown. I remember thinking the development I grew up in was freaking huge. I remember my Dad putting up the fence, that deck. Jumping out of my bedroom window (over the front door) to put up Christmas lights. One time it snowed so much I jumped off of the roof into a pile of snow. Such good times.

And then I stole a KOM on my way home to end 2015.
Enjoyed partying with Norm but by 11 I was losing steam fast. We headed home and ended up seeing the ball drop for the first time in maybe 2 years? Slept for the start of 2016, enjoyed some TV and once it was the highest temp of the day and tested out my new shorter stem. It was dry enough.

Plus I was watching Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage.

Saturday I got Mandi and special Guest Allison out at Allaire. I have a real solid 1:30 loop, after that it’s all the same to me. Thankfully the weather was as good as it could be for January 2nd, they were chatting the whole time, and I forced them to try some logs the didn’t want to do :)

I wonder if I can find that photo of Mandi jumping that oil drum back in the day…

AO crushing it first time too. WOOT WOOT

Winter is coming but it hasn’t had a firm grasp on us. Sunday Morning was the last time I felt I would be able to pull something like this off. It was right at freezing and we had a really solid group of the crew together for a mooch ride. We all said we wanted to take it easy, but once Utah and Mitch broke their bikes beyond repair, hammers were thrown. We just cruised through the ST course.

North, Deer Park, and hammered through the little bit of Stephens. Like a well oiled machine. No huge wrecks either. Just a great ride overall. I really love these screaming downhills. If I don’t ride my MTB with a group of people again, this will be a good send off.

The other side of the iggy photos. His jacket is huge. That teddy bear was freaky.

And I won’t center for Carson. This is really the end of 2015. Which should kill this blog. I think I will start fresh once we move in, January 22nd. I will keep taking questions and concerns.
